Performing arts centre plan coming together Members of the arts community and the public met last week with Okotoks town officials to discuss the possibilities for a new performing art centre. The size, location and uses of the building were up for discussion as the Town continues to look into building a centre for the arts.

Performing center moves ahead despite lawsuit The city could break ground in May on a downtown performing arts center, Mayor Ken Grey said last week. Construction could take nine months. A lawsuit over the former Gateway Furniture store -- which occupied the site where the performing center would go -- shouldn't stop the city, Grey said.
