For Legacy High School Students, a Lesson in Activism Hits Home Keyla Marte and other students participating in an after-school program to learn about ways to improve the community took on the effort to save the Legacy School for Integrated Studies in Manhattan, scheduled to be closed by the city. The students used social media and campaign-style strategies to get their message out and to rally support.
